Genesis

I am a capital markets professional who works at a hedge fund in North America. The more I time I have spent in my profession, the more I realize that how much I have yet to learn. The more knowledge I gain through reading and experience, the more I realize how little I know.

Some of you out there may be in my shoes and would probably agree that one of the keys to succeeding in this field is by carefully selecting the nuggets of wisdom through the ever present stream of news. 

Over the past year, I have kept a diary of my observations. However, I have come to realize that there are some difficulties in keeping a diary and one of these difficulties is being able to cross-reference an entry. This problem is solved quite elegantly through the use of a blog or similar means, which is what brings me here. 

Furthermore, I have always wanted to share my thoughts and observations with others with the hope that someone out there may find use for it and in doing so, perhaps improve their own life. After all, what use does knowledge have if it were never to be shared.
